WHAT OUR GUESTS HAVE TO SAY:

How awesome is that?!

We decided to take the "Siebensäure" tour and booked it online. Upon arriving in Oberwiesenthal we were warmly welcomed by the hosts. The run-down of the tour is explained to you in detail and possible dangers are made clear. You also receive useful tips for the ride. The cherry on top were the vouchers for the Florida ice bar at the in-house cafe. For the ride up the mountain, one can choose between the cable way and the chair lift. At the top the ±1hr fun ride begins, including some time for a drink in the "Guest House Siebensäure". One arrives at the "Vierenstraße" train station in Neudorf and then is chauffeured back to Oberwiesenthal with the narrow-gauge steam locomotive. An all-round great experience for young and old - fun is guaranteed!!!

Lausitz vs. Oberwiesenthal

We plan a weekend trip within our group of friends every year, for 6-8 people. Last year we went to Oberwiesenthal for a Monsterroller trip. We chose to ride the Neudorf tour. The price covers the ride up the mountain with the chair lift (or cable way) and the ride back with the steam locomotive, a helmet and of course the Monsterroller. Even though some of the people in the group were not as athletic as others, everyone had a great time! We found out that the Monsterroller tours are also available in Lausitz, and thus we decided to try them out for this year's trip! After all, it is just around the corner from Dresden. One can also take the train from Dresden to Neukirch. We went by car and hiked up the Valtenberg. The rollers were already waiting when we arrived, so we got right to it. After completing the "Westbahnhof Tour" we were taken back to the parking area. Our conclusion: The Monsterroller tour at the Valtenberg is just as cool as at the Fichtelberg, and definitely recommended!

Great holiday adventure

We were looking for a destination to visit during the autumn holidays together with our children (8 and 12), and came across the Monsterroller rental in Oberwiesenthal. The only activity we had done at the Fichtelberg before was snowboarding. Upon telephonic inquiry, we were well advised, and chose the beginner's tour for the children's sake. On the day of the tour, the children managed the rollers without a problem. After the first ride, we all wanted to go again, which was also possible. It really was a successful family outing that was entertaining for not only the kids. We would definitely do it again and try a different tour!
